Fall

Though nearly half a year had gone past since the two had become partners, the months had essentially gone by unnoticed. After finishing their display for Nokt, Schoko and Iozo had, despite their different species...became friends. Iozo, with her vivid personality and unending resolve, often enjoyed working with the Grem. Long hours had been spent together whipping their Stryx into shape in preparation for a cross-country race, held on by the Faun Tribe Alliance (Or FTA as it was often shortened to) for a weeklong journey across the continent on wing.

The race would be taxing, and impossibly difficult, especially because of the massive Talons that raked the skies at the sides of the Valley, but the two friends had decided it would be a show worthy of respect from the Stag himself. And now, as they arrived at the coastal Fae city Yolkreek, bags in hand and stryx in tow, they finally realized that all their training and work...

...It wouldn't be good enough.

Sure, Fauns like Iozo were sturdy and tough to the Elements, and Grem2, like Schoko, were designed to fit into most enviroments, but all around them were the many species of Odhana that were far better off than they. Many had invested in carbon fiber tack in armor, while other's feathers glistened with enchantments for speed and stamina. Many of the Corva teams were pacing around in perfect harmony with one another, their riders stern and unmoving on their backs. Meanwhile, November was bareback and Dot with simple leathers - They only really had a thin, leather band for support. 

The two handlers looked at eachother, sunken.

"Don't worry...We aren't going to fall."

Anyways this was a collab with the lovely Cynderheart of our two Stryx November and Dot, and their respective riders!

She did the lining, shading, and coloring, but I did the sketch, background and touch ups~
